On May 21, the graduates of the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation, class of 1991, met with the leadership and faculty of what is now the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov.

Director’s remarks

The institute's director, Ulan Esembekovich Kurmanov, spoke about the institution's development, the challenges overcome to preserve Kyrgyzstan's only aviation training institution, achievements in training aviation specialists for the country and abroad, the reconstruction of facilities, the dedication of the conference hall to I.S. Nazarov, plans to install a helicopter simulator, and strengthening partnerships with Russian civil aviation universities for dual-degree professional training.

Alumni Association
Ulan Esembekovich proposed establishing an Alumni Association for FATUCA, the Kyrgyz Aviation College, and the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute to unite approximately 7,000 graduates of the institution.

Igor Alexandrovich noted that the technical school provided them with an excellent professional foundation, often surpassing university-level training. Jorobek Uktamovich added that he still remembers the law of thermodynamics.

Instructors Rakhimbek Dairovich Dairov, Alimzhan Karimovich Abdyramanov, Vitaly Pavlovich Matkovsky, and Boris Borisovich Kozyonov shared warm memories of their colleagues and cadets.

Tour and closing

Vitaly Pavlovich and Boris Borisovich conducted a tour of the institute, showcasing educational facilities, the I. Abdraimov Museum, and aviation engines, planes, and helicopters now used for training.

On behalf of those unable to attend and on their own behalf, the attendees donated 20,000 KGS, which the director allocated to the institute's account.
