About the Council
The Training and Methodological Council of the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute — a permanent body responsible for:
Areas of activity
- 1Development of basic approaches to the implementation of priority areas of teaching and methodological work, including:
- improving the design of core educational programmes;
- optimising teaching and methodological work and improving the organisation of the educational process;
- preparing recommendations for the implementation of methodological developments into the educational process;
- quality control of core educational programmes;
- developing methods for assessing learning achievements and the level of students’ competencies.
- 2Coordination of the activities of structural units in developing and improving educational programmes for higher and secondary vocational education, as well as the teaching and methodological materials that support them, including:
- discussion of current issues in educational activities, including drafts of local acts regulating the formation and implementation of educational programmes;
- promoting the introduction of educational innovations and organising work to adopt new, and improve existing, technologies, methods and teaching aids;
- coordinating efforts to strengthen the scientific and methodological capacity of the teaching staff.
- 3Study and dissemination of best practices of domestic and foreign universities and seeking ways to integrate into the international educational space:
- systematisation and dissemination of best practices in organising and improving teaching and methodological work and introducing new learning technologies;
- preparation of proposals on the development of education and the formation of priority directions in its implementation.
Main tasks of the Council
- 1Organisation of expert review of curricula and working programmes of disciplines, taking into account the requirements of state educational standards.
- 2Consideration and coordination of the Council’s work plans of departments and divisions.
- 3Consideration of matters related to the teaching and methodological support of the educational process.
- 4Discussion and submission of proposals to improve draft regulatory legal acts concerning methodological support.
Discussion of proposals for improving the list of specialities (professions) based on forecasting priority directions of production and scientific technologies.
