Key dates

• 1973
  1973 – the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation was established by the Resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU of Kyrgyzstan and the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR No. 320 dated 12.07.1973 and by Order of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR No. 157 dated 13.08.1973.
• 1994
  1994 – pursuant to the Decrees of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 103 dated 09.03.1994 and No. 136 dated 18.03.1994, the Kyrgyz Aviation College was created on the basis of the school. The college was granted the name of the founder of aviation of our Republic, Honoured Pilot of the USSR No. 00001, Ishemba Abdraimov.
• 2017
  2017 – pursuant to Resolution No. 788 dated 06.12.2017, the higher aviation educational institution “Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after Ishemba Abdraimov” was established.

3. 31997 – 2015 – Dairov Rakhimbek Dairovich – Director of the Kyrgyz Aviation College named after I. Abdraimov.
4. 42015 – present – Kurmanov Ulan Esenbekovich – Director of the Kyrgyz Aviation College named after I. Abdraimov, Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov.

 

Specialities

• 1Since 1974 – the school trained specialists: 1703 “Technical operation of aircraft and engines”.
• 21993 – the school began training in the specialities: 2107 “Mechanisation and automation means in air transport”, 2401 “Organisation of transportation and management in air transport”.
• 31997 – the college began training in the specialities: 2402 “Air transport traffic management”, 2403 “Flight operation of aircraft”, 2313 “Service in air transport”.
• 42010 – the college opened the specialities: 2007 “Technical operation of electrified and pilot‑navigation complexes”, 2404 “Servicing aircraft with fuel and lubricating materials”.

 

 

Graduates

In 1974 the first intake of 200 cadets was made. In 1976 the first graduation of aviation specialists took place. 1976‑1994 – the school trained technician‑mechanics who were sent to aviation enterprises:

 

 

1979‑1992 – the school trained aviation technicians for distant foreign countries

 

 

1993‑2012 – the institution trained: technicians in specialty 1703 – 796 persons; specialty 2401 – 483; specialty 2107 – 271. Aircraft pilots – 201, air traffic controllers – 126, flight attendants – 191.

Awards

• 1979 – the school was awarded the Honourable Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
• 1981 – awarded the Leninist Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan prize for 1979‑80 for training civil aviation specialists and international youth upbringing.
• 1982 – the school received the title of an exemplary secondary specialised educational institution of Kyrgyzstan.
• 1984 – the school was awarded the Transition Red Banner of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR.
• 2003 – the college was awarded the Honourable Diploma of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
• 2013 – the college staff was awarded a statuette of the Inter‑State Aviation Committee for contribution to specialist training.
• 2013 – the college was awarded the Honourable Diploma of the Bishkek City Council.
• 2013 – the college received a Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic.
