History of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov

  • 1973
    1973 - the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation was established by the Decree of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan and the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR № 320 of 12.07.1973 and by Order of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR № 157 of 13.08.1973.
  • 1994
    1994 - according to the Decrees of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic № 103 of 9.03.1994 and № 136 of 18.03.1994, the Kyrgyz Aviation College was established on the basis of the school. The college was named after Ishembai Abdraimov, founder of aviation of the republic, Honoured Pilot of the USSR № 00001 (Ishembai Abdraimov).
  • 2017
    2017 - by Resolution № 788 dated 6.12.2017 the higher aviation educational institution "Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after Ishembai Abdraimov" was established.

Specialties

  • 1Since 1974 - the school trained specialists in: 1703 "Technical operation of aircraft and engines".
  • 21993 - the school began training in specialties: 2107 "Means of mechanization and automation in air transport", 2401 "Organization of transportation and management of air transport".
  • 31997 - the college started training in: 2402 "Air transport traffic control", 2403 "Flight operation of aircraft", 2313 "Service on air transport".
  • 42010 - the college opened specialties: 2007 "Technical Operation of Electrified and Piloting and Navigation Complexes", 2404 "Maintenance of Aircraft with Fuel and Lubricants".

Alumni

In 1974 the first intake of 200 cadets took place. In 1976 the first graduation of aviation specialists occurred. 1976–1994 — the school trained mechanical technicians who were sent to aviation enterprises:

Awards

  • 1979 — the school was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
  • 1981 — the school received the Lenin Komsomol prize of Kirghizia 1979–80 for its work in training civil aviation specialists and international education of youth.
  • 1982 — the school was granted the title of exemplary secondary specialized educational institution of Kyrgyzstan.
  • 1984 — the school was awarded the Red Banner of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR.
  • 2003 — the college was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
  • 2013 — the college staff was awarded a statuette by the Interstate Aviation Committee for its contribution to training specialists.
  • 2013 — the college was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Bishkek City Kenesh.
  • 2013 — the college received a Letter of Gratitude from the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic.
