Museum
Museum of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after Ishembay Abdraimov — opened in October 2023. The opening was timed to the Institute's 50th anniversary.

About the museum

The museum's first guests were representatives of civil aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic, veterans of civil aviation of the Republic, honorary lecturers, staff and alumni of the Institute, heads and lecturers of universities of Bishkek, and honorary guests from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey and Germany.

Today the museum is one of the links in the educational and upbringing work of the Institute.

Areas of activity

The museum's areas of activity are patriotic, historical and aesthetic. The museum has developed and implements cultural and educational programmes that focus on developing students' intellectual abilities and creative thinking.

Exhibition

The museum's exhibition reflects the history of the Institute and its predecessors in the context of the history of aviation and aviation education in Kyrgyzstan; the contribution of the Institute and its graduates to the development of the Republic's civil aviation.

The exhibition features assembled aircraft models, unique photographs and rare documents, personal belongings of some of the Institute's first staff, celebrated aviators and alumni. The displays include exhibits from Manas Airport and from some of Kyrgyzstan's leading airlines - «Авиа Траффик Компани», GP «Кыргызаэронавигация», airline «Аэростан».
