Regulations "On the Pedagogical Council"
Objectives
- 1management of educational, upbringing and social processes,
- 2development of educational content,
- 3implementation of professional educational programmes,
- 4improving the quality of education,
- 5enhancement of the methodological work of the Aviation Institute,
- 6promotion of professional development of teachers of the Department of Secondary Vocational Education.
Regulatory framework
The Pedagogical Council in its activities is guided by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Education", the Air Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the "Regulations on an educational organisation of secondary vocational education" approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 03.02.2004 No. 53, the "Aviation Rules of the Kyrgyz Republic" and other laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Charter of the Aviation Institute, and other normative legal documents on secondary vocational education.
Main areas of activity
- 1Consideration and discussion of the concept of development of the Department of Secondary Vocational Education of the Aviation Institute.
- 2Determination of the main characteristics of the organisation of the educational process:
- student admissions procedures;
- the procedure and grounds for expulsion of students;
- admission of students to the examination session;
- forms, procedures and conditions for conducting interim and final state attestation;
- grading systems for interim certification;
- students' timetable/regimen;
- internal regulations;
- provision of paid educational services, procedures for their provision, and expenditure of extra-budgetary funds;
- the procedure for regulating and formalising relations between the Department of Secondary Vocational Education and students;
- other academic, educational and social matters.
- 3Consideration and discussion of plans for educational, upbringing and methodological work, and, where necessary, plans for development and strengthening of the educational, laboratory and material-technical base of the Department.
- 4Consideration of the state, measures and activities to implement the state educational standard of secondary vocational education, including curricular, methodological and information-technical support for the specialties taught in the Department.
- 5Consideration of the state and results of academic work of the Department, results of interim and final state attestation, measures to prepare for them, and causes and remedies for student dropout.
- 6Consideration of the state and results of educational work in the Department, student discipline, and hearing reports from class tutors.
- 7Consideration of the state and results of methodological work in the Department, including the activities of the methodological council, improvement of pedagogical and information technologies, methods and means of teaching.
- 8Determination of the procedure for forming cyclic methodological commissions, frequency of their meetings, powers of the chairman and members of the CMC (if not defined by the Institute Charter), review of CMC activities (hearing and discussion of teachers' experience with new pedagogical and information technologies, authors' programmes, textbooks, teaching and methodological aids).
- 9Consideration of measures to improve experimental and design work, technical and artistic creativity of students; review and discussion of issues related to the Department's operations; consideration and discussion of legal measures to ensure compliance with normative legal documents of legislative and executive authorities in training specialists with secondary vocational education.
Composition
The Pedagogical Council consists of the Director, deputy directors, heads of departments and the library, chairpersons of cycle commissions, heads of the Department's structural subdivisions, physical education staff, methodologists, heads of training-production workshops, laboratories and preparatory courses. All teachers of the Department are members of the Pedagogical Council.
The number and composition of the Pedagogical Council are approved annually at the beginning of the academic year by an order of the Director of the Aviation Institute.
The work of the Pedagogical Council is chaired by the Chair, who is the Director of the Aviation Institute, and the Deputy Chair is the Deputy Director for Academic Work.
Since the formation of the Pedagogical Council, secretarial duties and minute taking have been performed by Курманов У. Э., Нуркулова З. М., Жумалиева Е. К., Абдылдаева С. Н., Жунушалиева К. А. and Медешова З. Ж.
