On March 18, the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute held a seminar for students on "Bullying and Aggression: How to Protect Yourself and Help Others".

Seminar topics

Roles in bullying

• 1victim: signs, psychological state.
• 2aggressor: reasons for aggressive behavior.
• 3observers: their role and influence on the situation.

Actions to take when bullying occurs

• 1how to help the victim: support, encouragement to seek help.
• 2How to protect yourself: self-defense techniques, confidence building.
• 3How to neutralize bullying: intervening, drawing attention to the problem.
• 4Seeking help: the importance of informing the psychologist, supervisors, mentors, teachers.

And students also had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers.

Bullying is aggressive behavior that is repetitive and intended to cause harm. Bullying can occur in different environments: at school, at work, on the internet.
It is important to distinguish between conflict and bullying: conflict is an argument and bullying is systematic violence. In a bullying situation, everyone suffers.
