On 5 March 2026 a celebratory event dedicated to Kalpak Day was held at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov. — This holiday is celebrated annually in Kyrgyzstan and symbolises respect for the national traditions, culture and the spiritual heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

Event programme
During the event participants were told about the history of the kalpak, its symbolic meaning and its special place in Kyrgyz culture.
Performances
The festive atmosphere was created by student performances. They prepared a creative number and performed the “kara jorgo” dance. The performance was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience and became a vivid highlight of the event.
Significance
Such events help strengthen patriotic spirit among young people, foster respect for national traditions and contribute to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.
