As part of state policy to improve the quality of pilot training and provide comprehensive training for aviation specialists, the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov has acquired specialised equipment and opened a simulator hall for aircrew training. Experience shows that radio communications in the early stages of initial flight training can be a psychological barrier for novice pilots.

Purpose and equipment

To address this issue, a new flight training classroom has been established and dedicated workstations have been deployed for simulator training of flight and air traffic control personnel. Before beginning flight practice, students will be able to practise radio phraseology for various stages of flight in real time.

Training programme

Within the curriculum, students will learn to operate the integrated Garmin G1000 flight and navigation system, use aeronautical information publications and read Jeppesen charts.

Professional training
Modern aircraft are typically equipped with a glass cockpit, which also requires practical skills in attention distribution and familiarity with the interface. Comprehensive mastery of the Garmin G1000 will enable a smooth transition to conversion training on the multi-engine DA-42, which is the final stage of pilot preparation at our institute.
