
Transfer details
On 27 June an official ceremony took place for signing the Agreement on the gratuitous transfer of a Boeing 737-300 aircraft, withdrawn from service, by Avia Traffic Company to the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov, in honour of the 50th anniversary of the educational institution. This became possible thanks to the active stance and dedication to aviation shown by the airline's management and founders. The staff of KAI express their deep gratitude to the management and personnel of Avia Traffic Company for the aircraft provided free of charge, which will serve as a teaching aid for future generations of aviation specialists.
About Askarov Alik Bakeevich
Askarov Alik Bakeevich graduated with distinction from the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation (FATUGA) in 1978. He is an engineer–pilot of the 1st class and a state service adviser of the 2nd class. After graduating from FATUGA he worked as an aircraft technician in the Far North; in 1983 he completed the Aktobe Higher Flight School of Civil Aviation. He flew as commander of Yak-40 and Il-76 aircraft. Askarov’s entire career is connected with aviation: from commander of an aviation squadron, to President of NAC «Kyrgyzstan Aba Joldoru», Director of the Civil Aviation Department of the KR, Deputy Minister of Transport of the KR, and currently General Director of Avia Traffic Company.
