On 6 December 2020, at the age of 83, Burulkan Duyshebaevna Serekova, a veteran of civil aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic, holder of the titles “Distinguished Worker of Aeroflot of the USSR”, “Veteran of Labour of the Kyrgyz SSR” and “Excellence in Education of the Kyrgyz Republic”, and a veteran of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute, suddenly passed away.

Biography

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 4 February 1983, Serekova B.D. was awarded the Medal "For Labour Distinction".

Serekova B.D. worked at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute practically from its founding and served for 40 years. She made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of the only aviation educational institution in Central Asia, later the aviation college and institute.

She was the author of many methodological guidelines for foreign students, was a strong mathematician, and also covered the subjects Descriptive Geometry, Computer Science and Computing Technology. In the 1990s she took up a new direction and for many years taught the Kyrgyz language to cadets. She was distinguished by strong principles, honesty and deep spiritual richness.
