In memoriam

On 2 May 2020 one of the founders of the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation, now the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute, "Excellence in Education of the Kyrgyz Republic", "Veteran of Labour", "Aeroflot Excellence" awardee, and well-known Kyrgyz photojournalist Vladimir Sergeevich Parkhomenko passed away.

Biography

Vladimir Sergeevich began his teaching career at the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation and subsequently at the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation College, serving for almost 40 years.

Parkhomenko V.S. educated multiple generations of aviators who today practise their profession across nearly all continents of the world.

He was distinguished by strong principles, professionalism and moral qualities. Today not only our collective but the proud Kyrgyz land has lost one of the notable sons of Soviet Kyrgyzstan.

Parkhomenko V.S. was a consummate master of his craft and an excellent educator; his second beloved profession was photojournalism. For many decades Parkhomenko V.S. remained one of the country’s respected and professional photojournalists.

The administration, academic staff and students of the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute express their deep and sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and share the pain and sorrow of this irreplaceable loss.
