On 23 October 2021 students of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov took part in sports competitions dedicated to the Day of Social Protection Workers and Trade Unions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The "Flight Crew" team from the secondary vocational education department was awarded a first-place diploma and the challenge cup of the youth tournament, while the "Kometa" team (VPO) received a second-place diploma from the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Aviation Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic. On the same day, in another event — the Republican cross-country run of universities — the KAI women's team finished 7th and the men's team 9th.
