On 27 January this year at the Kyrgyz National Military Lyceum named after Hero of the Soviet Union Major General D. Asanov — the Ministry of Defence of Kyrgyzstan, together with the Kyrgyz search movement "Our Victory - Bizdin Jenish", organised a march dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the German-Fascist troops in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Participants and results

Descendants of participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, veterans of the Battle of Stalingrad, as well as servicemen of the 98th and 99th Separate Rifle Brigades, representatives of military-sports, sports, patriotic and historical clubs, veterans' organisations, search movements, pupils of educational institutions and students of higher education institutions of the republic took part in the event. Students of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov were among the participants of the march.

As a result of the sporting competition, 5 KAI students became winners.
