On 11 March, an exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of pilot-cosmonaut and Hero of the Soviet Union Yuri Gagarin opened at the B. Yeltsin Kyrgyz–Russian Slavic University. Students from city schools, cadets of military higher education institutions, as well as faculty and students of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov were invited to the event.

Programme and participants

The exhibition presented unique photographs, exhibits and lectures on the history and development of astronautics.

Lecture

Head of the Laboratory of Cosmonautics and Rocket Engineering at KAI, Bobylev Dmitriy, gave a detailed talk on the launch of the first spacecraft and modifications of Soviet rockets.
