A student of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov, Erbol Avalbekov, won the gold medal at the Asian and Oceanian Sambo Championship held in Aktau, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Team results

Athletes from Kyrgyzstan delivered outstanding results, winning 9 gold, 7 silver and 22 bronze medals. The Sambo Federation noted that this is the best result in the history of our national team’s performances.

Tournament progress

Avalbekov, confidently winning two bouts in the up to 79 kg weight category with scores of 10:2 and 10:0, opened the scoring for our national team.
