Presentations and discussions

The participation of our colleague in the global symposium will contribute both to the development of training in safety culture for specialists at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute and to the improvement of aviation security in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Altynbek Kulanbekovich spoke about several presentations on the first day of the ICAO symposium: “According to Wendy Reiter, Director of Aviation Security and Emergency Preparedness at Port of Seattle (USA), all aviation security activity has moved to digitisation, which is done to maintain distancing. The Head of Airport Operations and Safety at Melbourne Airport (Australia), Scott Dallard, spoke about smart security. The Head of Inspections and Processes at AENA (Spain), Alfonso Horna Gomez, prepared a presentation on biometrics, thermographic cameras, disinfection equipment installed at the airports of Malaga, Madrid, Alicante, and remote screening at the airports of Madrid, Ibiza and Seville.”

Conclusions
Summarising the experts’ presentations, Belgibaev A. K. noted the practical implementation of aviation security during the COVID-19 pandemic through the use of innovative technologies, in particular remote screening or monitoring of passengers’ health status.

This issue was the subject of a theoretical student conference paper at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute in May 2021. It demonstrates that the training of specialists at our university corresponds to global trends in aviation security.
