The Director and staff of the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of respected Bakyt Jenishyevich Junushaliev — Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Biography

Bakyt Jenishyevich Junushaliev was born on 6 May 1959. He worked in civil aviation for over 40 years, progressing from an air traffic control dispatcher and IL-76 navigator to an accomplished aviator.

Professional activity

He headed the Association of Air Carriers of the Kyrgyz Republic and, as deputy director and later director of the Civil Aviation Agency, worked on developing new international routes, modernising regional airports, preparing regulatory frameworks for introducing new aviation technologies, strengthening ties with foreign partners, and raising flight safety standards in line with European requirements.

The results of his work were reflected in increased passenger traffic, attracted investment, and a contribution to the national economy.
