On 5 December an international scholarly conference titled «Чынгыз Айтматов – доорубуздун улуу жазуучусу» was held at the KAI named after I. Abdraimov, dedicated to the writer's 95th anniversary.

Conference proceedings

Roza Aitmatova shared memories from the writer's childhood that influenced his later life.

The Deputy Director of the Aviation College of the AGA RK, Kayrat Shonzhikenov, noted that the phenomenon of Aitmatov's work influenced not only the worldview of his compatriots but also the minds of other peoples.

Conclusions
The institute's faculty and students presented papers about the life and work of the great writer. The institute's students prepared and staged the dramatized performance «Аалам алпы – Айтматов».
