On 28 November, a lecture entitled “Prevention and Combating of Religious Extremism and Terrorism” was held at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after Ishembay Abdraimov.

Lecture details

It was delivered by representatives of the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration (SPENM) of the Bishkek Police Department. Police Lieutenant Elaman Sultanov provided explanatory information during the meeting about extremist and terrorist activities and their consequences. In a detailed presentation prepared specifically for the lecture, the speaker listed types of activities recognised as unlawful and also outlined the main regulatory legal acts in the field of countering supporters of radical measures and ideas. Sultanov emphasised that the primary influence on young people comes from social networks and advised avoiding recruitment into various dubious organisations.
