Institute plans
Director Kurmanov also noted that the institute’s near-term plans include a ceremonial celebration of the anniversary and the publication of an autobiographical book about Tleukhor Boshumova’s life path.

Biography

For reference: Tleukhor Boshumova became the first announcer of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan in the distant year 1964. She was the first to make announcements to passengers in the Kyrgyz language on board an airliner. In total, Boshumova spent 17 years in the sky, and her total flight distance amounts to 17,000 km.

Having devoted her life to aviation, Boshumova still continues to work in her native field: she serves as a custodian of the museums of KAI named after I. Abdraimov and continues to contribute to the education of the younger generation of aviators. Tleukhor Boshumova is the pride of the Bektenov dynasty of aviators. She has been awarded the Medal "Veteran of Labour" and a number of certificates of honour from relevant agencies and enterprises.
