As part of the implementation of the Presidential Decree of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 20 May 2022 No. 158 “On the improvement of the civil aviation management system and measures to develop air services in the Kyrgyz Republic”, strengthening the institute's material and technical base and personnel capacity, and the Action Plan for preparing for KAI's 50th anniversary, the implementation of the grant project “Third Phase of the Programme for Improving Regional Transport Links in Central Asia” has begun under the component for reconstruction of the institute's infrastructure funded by the World Bank. — The contracting organisation has commenced repair works in accordance with the plan approved by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
