The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) declared 2021 the Year of Aviation Safety Culture — given the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on aviation and to promote best practices in aviation safety across all types of air operations.

Conference

Supporting ICAO's initiative, the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov held a scientific-practical student conference on "Aviation Safety" on 26 May.

Opening remarks at the conference were delivered by: Deputy Director for Science Bolotbek Sovetbekovich Sovetkov; Head of the Aviation Security Sector of the Civil Aviation Agency Shukhrat Akhmetkhanovich Rustamov; Head of Aviation Security Service of Issyk-Kul Airport Baktybek Tolonduyevich Ustabaev; and Deputy Head of Aviation Security Service of JSC "MAM" Nurlan Esenbekovich Bekboev.
