On 5–6 October this year the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov celebrated its 50th anniversary. On 5 October an International scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists on the topic "Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan: Perspectives and Challenges in the Era of Globalisation" dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov was held. At the plenary session reports on the topic were presented by: At the conclusion of the conference, an appropriate resolution was adopted. On 6 October a ceremonial assembly in honour of the Institute's anniversary took place in the Great Assembly Hall. Teachers and staff of the Institute were awarded state and departmental honours. Speakers offering congratulatory remarks included: representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the leadership of the State Agency for Civil Aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Manas International Airport", the Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee, heads of aviation enterprises of Kyrgyzstan, veterans and alumni of the Institute. The Institute's staff express their deep gratitude and appreciation to all participants in the conference and the ceremonial assembly.
