On 30 June 2021 the Pedagogical Council of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov summarised the results of the 2020–2021 academic year.
Reports and presentations
- 1Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Oksana Anatolyevna Sadovskaya — reported on teachers' workload, implementation of methodological work plans, expansion of the institute's cooperation with foreign universities and civil aviation organisations, work with local regulatory acts, and emphasised the need to regularly replenish the video library of lectures and classes on the institute's YouTube channel and to pay more attention to students' independent study.
- 2Deputy Director for State Language and Educational Work Aida Muzinovna Emchieva — spoke about the specifics of admissions in 2020 and 2021, in particular the creation by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic of a unified portal for online selection to universities and colleges, and addressed the curators' ranking; she described the impact of distance learning on educational work, noting difficulties as well as advantages.
- 3Head of the Academic Department Erkin Ramatillaevich Manapbaev — presented an analysis of the results of state certification and students' absolute and qualitative performance with charts and figures; reported that 29 students graduated with distinction.
- 4Head of the Educational and Methodological Work Sector Nazira Kadyrbekovna Kurmankulova — shared a comparison of the results of the winter and summer examination sessions in the secondary vocational education department.
- 5Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Civil Aviation Venera Jumakanovna Uzakbayeva — reported on group performance, attendance, student practice for the higher professional education programme, and student conferences and lectures organised by the faculty.
- 6Director of the Institute Ulan Esembekovich Kurmanov — put forward proposals for improving academic and educational work following each report.
Student involvement and activities
Despite the predominant online mode of study, students took part in events such as a lecture on corruption prevention, a schoolchildren's football tournament, and a charity event for children in an orphanage.

29 students graduated with distinction. The institute's financial independence has increased — 90% of revenues are own funds. The institute launched the academic journal "Vestnik of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov 'Aviator'"; colleagues are invited to publish theses and proposals. It was proposed to send 2 colleagues to postgraduate study at the Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation.
Statement by the director
"The year was pivotal for organising a full educational process... Since 2016 we have been gradually mastering AVN. Integration into the automated system has borne fruit. Our system withstands up to 900 tests per day. But we must not stop"
