
Opening of the conference
The opening was addressed by the Institute Director Kurmanov U. E., Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Turgunbaev A. A., Deputy Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Kleshchov K. A., Chief Specialist of the Department of Secondary and Higher Professional Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Alibaeva D. K., and Head of the ICAO Quality and Standards Implementation Sector of the State Agency of Civil Aviation Kariev U. S.
Participants and presentations
Representatives and specialists from state and commercial civil aviation organisations from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan spoke at the sessions. Experts' presentations provided an opportunity to learn about different countries' practices in the use of unmanned aerial systems, classification of categories, benefits and risks, legal regulation, the experience of training specialists in UAS operation, and the need to establish certification standards.
Objectives and outcomes
The conference became a platform both for establishing cooperation between educational centres and for developing proposals to standardise requirements for UAS manufacture, registration and airspace monitoring within the activities of the IAC and the Eurasian Economic Union. The conference resolution included participants' recommendations on regulating the use of civil unmanned aerial systems and strengthening cooperation.

The conference papers will be published in issue No. 3 of the scientific journal «Vestnik of the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute ‘Aviator’».
