On 22 December 2021, Chief Pilot of the airline “TEZ JET”, Ilgiz Nazarbekovich Askarov, delivered a guest lecture to students of the Faculty of Civil Aviation and the vocational secondary education division.

About the lecture

The lecturer spoke about the current development of aviation in Kyrgyzstan, noting that cargo flights predominate, the growing demand for pilots, and airline requirements. Askarov I. N. drew students' attention to the necessity of English language knowledge for pilots and gave an example of a determined person who learnt a foreign language from «zero» within a year. According to him, one must constantly study, develop and improve in this profession. Students asked about employment opportunities for pilots after the pandemic, whether airlines pay for retraining pilots on new aircraft types, levels of English proficiency and the specifics of the terminology. Ilgiz Askarov is a graduate of the Kyrgyz Aviation College. He has mastered four aircraft types, and is a KVS instructor of aircraft Bae 146/200 – AVRO RJ85, Boeing MD 80/88, Boing 747-200.
