A memorial rally was held at the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Defence of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Mayor’s Office of Bishkek, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Rossotrudnichestvo representation in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kant Air Base and public organisations including the Council of War Veterans and the Public Association of Leningrad Blockade Survivors.

Event proceedings

In honour of Timur Frunze a gun salute was fired, and the brass band of the Ministry of Defence performed the State Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic. Students of the institute presented a concert programme, and the event concluded with a celebratory buffet for veterans and guests.
