From 10 to 12 March 2022 the Director of the Institute, Kurmanov U.E., undertook a working trip to Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan — at the invitation of LLC "Young Wings of the East" to establish contacts and cooperation between educational institutions.

Meetings and agreements

  • 1On 11 March official meetings were held with the management and founders of LLC "Young Wings of the East", and a Cooperation Agreement between the Aviation Institute and LLC "Young Wings of the East" was signed.
  • 2A contract was also signed to prepare the first group of five people at the Aviation Institute under the programme for training amateur pilots on light and ultralight aircraft.
  • 3A meeting took place with the management of Tashkent Transport University, where many issues were discussed in the context of cooperation between educational institutions, with the main points being academic mobility, research cooperation, exchange of faculty and students, and the organisation of joint conferences, etc.
  • 4A meeting was held with the General Director and the flight operations management of the airline "Humo Air", which is the only airline in the Republic of Uzbekistan operating light and ultralight aircraft with its own aerodrome and fixed‑wing and helicopter fleet. The airline's management expressed interest in cooperating with the Aviation Institute on programmes for training amateur and commercial pilots.
  • 5There was also a meeting with the management of the training centre "Complex IL-76TD aircraft simulator", which is unique and the only one of its kind in Central Asia.

Cooperation and plans

Within the framework of cooperation with one of the airlines of the Kyrgyz Republic, there is a plan to retrain graduates of the Aviation Institute to operate IL‑76 aircraft.

Also, a draft Cooperation Agreement between Tashkent Transport University and the Aviation Institute was discussed; it will be signed online between the educational institutions in the near future.

Trip outcomes
As a result of the trip, the view was strengthened on expanding contacts with the civil aviation and educational communities of the Republic of Uzbekistan for mutually beneficial cooperation between our organisations.
