The Mural
Civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan, which began as single-engine piston aviation in 1933, has today grown into a large sector employing tens of thousands of people. Ahead of the anniversaries, a thematic mural dedicated to the anniversaries of Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan was painted on the façade of the large assembly hall of the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute. The concept of the mural includes: the Frunze aerodrome, the first terminal complex of Frunze airport, the apron of Frunze aerodrome where the legendary IL-18 aircraft stands out against the snowy mountains of Kyrgyzstan, and the composition is completed by a pilot and a flight attendant heading to their flight.
Opening
The opening of the mural was attended by the institute’s leadership, faculty and students, the leadership of the State Agency for Civil Aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, veterans of civil aviation and leaders of Kyrgyz air carriers.
Initiative and support
The idea of creating the mural belongs to the institute’s students, and the project was financially supported by the institute’s alumni pilots.
