On 1 September, a ceremonial meeting and a welcome for first-year students and the institute's teaching staff was held to mark the start of the new academic year.

Today, as 49 years ago, the institute opened its doors to students and faculty. At the ceremonial meeting, congratulations were delivered by the Director of the Institute, Ulan Kurmanov; the Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aybek Bayyshbaev; partner representatives from the Republic of Uzbekistan; and institute veterans.
