History of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov

1973 - the Frunze Aviation Technical School of Civil Aviation was established by the Decree of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan and the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR № 320 of 12.07.1973 and Order of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR № 157 of 13.08.1973.

1994 г. - According to the Decrees of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic № 103 of 9.03.1994 and № 136 of 18.03.1994, the Kyrgyz Aviation College was established on the basis of the school. The college was named after Ishembai Abdraimov, the founder of aviation of our republic, Honored Pilot of the USSR № 00001.

2017 г. - according to Resolution No. 788 dated 6.12.2017, a higher aviation educational institution "Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after Ishembai Abdraimov" was established.

1993 - the college started training in the following specialties: 2107 "Means of mechanization and automation in air transport". 2401 "Organization of transportation and management of air transport". - the college started training in the following specialties:

2401 "Organization of transportation and management on air transport".
1997 - the college started training in the following specialties:
2402 "Air transport traffic control",
2403 "Flight operation of aircraft",
2313 "Service on air transport".
2010. - the college opened specialties:
2007 "Technical Operation of Electrified and Piloting and Navigation Complexes",
2404 "Maintenance of Aircraft with Fuel and Lubricants.

In 1974, the first intake of 200 cadets was made.
In 1976, the first graduation of aviation specialists took place.

1979 г. - the school was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
1981. - the school was awarded the prize of the Lenin Komsomol of Kirghizia in 1979-80 for the great and fruitful work on training specialists of civil aviation, international education of youth.
1982. - the school was awarded the title of an exemplary secondary specialized educational institution of Kyrgyzstan.
1984 - the college was awarded the Red Banner of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the USSR.
2003. - the college was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
2013. - the college staff was awarded a statuette of the Interstate Aviation Committee for its special contribution to the training of civil aviation specialists of the Commonwealth member states.
2013. - the college for its great contribution to the development of aviation in Kyrgyzstan and training of highly qualified specialists was awarded the Certificate of Honor of Bishkek City Kenesh.
2013. - the college received a Letter of Gratitude from the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic.
