Organisation of the educational process
At the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov, the educational process is organised using distance learning methods.
In order to implement the decision of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 14 March 2020 on preventing the importation and spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, the educational process at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov has been organised using distance learning methods.
Distance learning tools
The institute administration holds meetings using the ZOOM programme (open-source software for web-conferencing). The educational process is conducted via the AVN information system’s Educational Portal, which is populated with teaching-methodical sets for disciplines, including lecture notes, syllabuses, methodological guidelines and control questions. A student registered for a particular discipline has access to these materials, and through AVN both lecturers and students can communicate online. In addition, groups have been created for each discipline in the WhatsApp mobile application to assist in monitoring the educational process. Institute lecturers also use other teaching methods such as video lectures, the Google Classroom application, and others.
Administration work and support
The institute administration, the academic office and tutors maintain regular contact with students, track their whereabouts and continuously monitor compliance with the academic schedule. Methodological assistance and consultations on the application of distance learning technologies are provided to lecturers and students on an ongoing basis.
