Bishkek, 18.12.17. /Kabar/. The ceremonial opening of the Testing Centre for Aviation Personnel of Kyrgyzstan took place at the Kyrgyz Aviation College. The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic reports this.

About the centre

As part of implementing the recommendations of the previous audit by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and in the course of transforming the aviation college into the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute, the ceremonial opening of the computer testing centre for civil aviation personnel of Kyrgyzstan was held at the aviation educational institution. The centre is equipped with a new lecture hall for 120 seats and a new reading room of the Institute's electronic library for 80 seats. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zhasitbek Kalilov, and the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Roads, K. Akyshev.

From 4 to 12 December this year the Kyrgyz Republic underwent another ICAO audit and, according to preliminary assessments, the level of audit performance is quite high, which gives us strength and motivation to continue improving our indicators,”

He also noted that the newly formed institute will in the future become an innovative scientific and technical centre in the field of aviation as a whole.
