Inspiring meeting between students and pilots who have flown around the globe
On May 30, a unique meeting was held at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov. Students had an opportunity to communicate with Soyuzbek Saliev, the only representative from Central Asia and Turkic-speaking countries who has traveled around the world in a single-engine airplane, as well as pilots from the United States Artur "Art" Mortvedt and Linda Sollars.
During the meeting the pilots shared their impressions of the flight, told about the difficulties they encountered on the way, about technical aspects of preparation and organization of such a large-scale flight. They paid special attention to the importance of knowledge acquired in aviation schools and emphasized that it is a solid theoretical base and hard practice that helps to overcome any difficulties in the air.
The students listened to the guests' stories with great interest and asked questions.
At the end of the meeting, the pilots expressed their gratitude to the Institute for the warm welcome and wished the students success in their studies and conquering new heights.
