Ak Kalpak Day celebrated at the Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute
On March 5, an event dedicated to Ak Kalpak Day was held at the Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute.
The students of the institute prepared a festive concert, the program of which included national dances and songs.
Ak Kalpak Day is a holiday dedicated to the national male headdress of the Kyrgyz people - the white kalpak.
Ak Kalpak symbolizes mountains and purity, carries the heritage of ancestors and national ideology.
On this day, various cultural events, concerts, and exhibitions dedicated to national traditions and culture are held throughout the country.
In 2019, Ak Kalpak was included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
