A seminar for students on "Bullying and Aggression: How to Protect Yourself and Help Others" was held at KAI

On March 18, the I. Abdraimov Kyrgyz Aviation Institute held a seminar for students on "Bullying and Aggression: How to Protect Yourself and Help Others".
The workshop addressed the following issues:
* What is bullying: definition of the concept, its types (physical, psychological, cyberbullying).
* The problem of bullying: negative consequences for the victim, aggressor and observers.
Roles in bullying:
* victim: signs, psychological state.
* aggressor: reasons for aggressive behavior.
* observers: their role and influence on the situation.
Consequences of bullying: for everyone involved in the situation (psychological trauma, social isolation, reduced academic performance).
Actions to take when bullying occurs:
* how to help the victim: support, encouragement to seek help.
* How to protect yourself: self-defense techniques, confidence building.
* How to neutralize bullying: intervening, drawing attention to the problem.
* Seeking help: the importance of informing the psychologist, supervisors, mentors, teachers.
And students also had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers.
Bullying is aggressive behavior that is repetitive and intended to cause harm. Bullying can occur in different environments: at school, at work, on the internet.
It is important to distinguish between conflict and bullying: conflict is an argument and bullying is systematic violence. In a bullying situation, everyone suffers.
The workshop was aimed at raising students' awareness of the problem of bullying and teaching them effective ways to protect and help.
